Choose a Dressing System

Wardrobe offers you the choice between two dressing systems. They primarily differ in how clothing is removed before a new item is put on.

The Attachment Point System lets you define the attachment points and clothing layers that are removed before the new item is put on, on a per-item basis.

The new Clothing Type System automatically removes clothing based on clothing types. E.g., If you're currently wearing a dress and you put on a new dress, the old dress is removed. Or if you're wearing pants, putting on a dress will remove the pants.
The Clothing Type System is configurable, i.e., you can customize the undress settings for each type of clothing. It requires configuring a mapping of your tags to predefined clothing types, which you'll have to create before you can start using the Clothing Type System.

Please note: The Clothing Type System only works if Wardrobe can determine which items you're wearing.
The only restriction for this is that you either have no links in your #RLV folder or that any links you have in the #RLV folder do not point to targets outside of the #RLV folder.

Please also note that the Clothing Type System currently is not supported by Rulebook.

Activate the Clothing Type System

Define Your Clothing Type Removal Matrix

The Clothing Type Remove Matrix defines which clothing types will be taken off when you put on another item of clothing, jewelry, an accessory, etc.

For instance, when you're wearing a dress and want to put on another dress, the previous dress should be removed. Or if you're wearing pants and want to put on a dress, the pants should be removed.

In the matrix in the next step, you'll define which clothing types are taken off when something new is put on.

Each row represents the type of the clothing to be put on.
Tick all the boxes on the row of the types of clothing you want removed when clothing of the type corresponding to the row is put on.

Select Import Method

Import from live inventory

This method will connect to SecondLife account with your user name and password and import from your SecondLife inventory directly.

Import from cache file

This method will import from an inventory cache file, which you need to find and select. It does not connect to your SecondLife account, so you don't need to provide your login credentials. All the processing is done in your browser, only the final items are uploaded to the Wardrobe server.
Please note: if you made changes to your inventory in your current Second Life session, you will need to log out so that the current inventory structure is synchronized to the cache file.

Inventory Cache File Upload

Select your inventory cache file.

It is named 52836d9f-0015-40f4-867f-a0c3aec9a047.inv.llsd.gz and is located in these directories by default:

Windows:	C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Firestorm_x64
Mac:	/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Caches/Firestorm_x64
Linux:	~/.firestorm_x64/cache

Select the folders you would like to import.
Click on the name of a folder name to expand it.
Selecting a parent folder will select all its children if the child folders are visible.
Do not select the subfolders of the items you want to import.

Connecting To SecondLife

Import Wardrobe items directly from your SecondLife inventory.

This tool will connect to SecondLife with your account.
Make sure you're logged out from SecondLife before starting the import process.

SL User Name:
SL Password:	Your SecondLife password. Your password will not be stored. However, for your own security, please change the password before using this tool, and change it back afterwards.
MFA Token:	Please enter your Multi-Factor Authentication token.
Base Folder:	The base folder from which to start the import. See example below.
Levels:	The number of levels between the base folder and the folders from which to create Wardrobe items. See example below. Must be larger than 0.

Let's say that you want to import the items contained in Clothing/Outfits/Casual and Clothing/Outfits/Formal.
The common folder in which the outfits are contained is Clothing/Outfits, and the actual outfits are two levels down with respect to that folder.

Hence, you would use

Base Folder: Clothing/Outfits
Levels: 2

Generate Tags

Create individual tags from each folder in the structure
Create one nested tag from the folder structure
Create creator tags
Create clothing type and color tags from the images

Generate Subfolders

Select which subfolders you would like to add to the items' "Subfolders" line.
The subfolders defined in the item will always automatically be worn when you click the icon.

Landmark:	Please enter a valid SLURL.
Marketplace URL:	Please enter a valid Marketplace URL.
URLs:	Enter any URLs of the creators website, blogs and social profiles here, separated by spaces. If you would like to submit a public Brand Directory entry, please add at a landmark (SLURL), marketplace URL, or social media URL of the creator. Please do not use any URL shortening services, such as bit.ly, tinyurl.com, etc.
Visibility:	Private If checked, only you will see this entry.
